And also on all streaming sites such as Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube.

I had some luck in the studio, and by “studio”, I mean sanctum, aka my basement. Written and recorded in one day, after my busiest touring season in years. Originally released May 7 and still appears on the Stop Cop City legal defense fund benefit compilation called “You Better Mind: Southeastern Songs to Stop Cop City”. Go get that comp! So good!

But I needed to bring it into my own conceptual continuum, because it turned out to be an important song to me. So I released it as a pay-what-you-want single on my Bandcamp with this picture of my dad from 1980. I take a rare electric guitar solo on it, for the heads.

Lyrics:

When I said goodbye
I didn't know it would be the last time
You made up your mind
You refused to live in fear
Gonna take a ride
Down that old and busted street where
You spent many a night
Shaking friends from their worst nightmares

No way to predict the outcome that now seems so fated
Wheels in motion, train has left the station
Can't turn the thing around
