Ahleuchatistas is an instrumental avant-rock band formed in 2002 by guitarist Shane Parish. They play mathy prog-punk music, meticulously composed and relentlessly paced, unfolding poly-tonal riffs, angular and organic. The current lineup features Trevor Dunn on bass and Danny Piechocki on drums. The band’s 9th studio album, Expansion, was released on October 22, 2022 on Trevor Dunn’s Riverworm Records. It was followed by a couple short tours and festival appearances at Big Ears 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee and Jazz Em Agosto 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal.
